I am trying to get my SteppIR box to work with DX4WIN using a USB to serial cable and it just won't work unless I have my break out box in the line??? I have pins 3 on the computer going to pin 2 on the SteppIR box and pin 5 to pin 5. When I connect up the cable directly the SteppIR box just will not work. It works fine when I have my break out box in the line??? I double checked the 2 to 3 flop and it is fine. I also have pins 7 to 9 jumped on the SteppIR end and am using the Data In port on the SteppIR box.
Like I said it works fine when the break out box is in the line. What could this break out box be doing??? It's not messing up my 2 to 3 flop as I check this. The only pins I have cut through on the break out box are Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
