At least one person has made this mistake, so I'll explain it here. I've already updated the web page.
If you want to add command-line options to the update program, or change the window colors, you can ONLY do this to the (desktop) shortcut icon, not the program icon itself (the one in your DX4W### directory). I hope this saves people some confusion. Also, I did *not* include the configuration files in the .ZIP file. I'll do that next time. You can only download them from the web at this point. The next release of the updater will have two new features: -upd will check if the updater program itself has been updated. It will download the new version into the UPDATE directory, but you'll have to copy it yourself to your DX4W### directory (you can't update the program while it's running). This is optional, because some people may not want to download a 4 MB file automatically. -call=<callsign> will save a backup copy of your DX4WIN log file (<callsign>.DXL> in the BACKUP directory, before doing any data updates. This will also be optional, though there is no reason not to do it. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <[email protected]>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
