I'm forwarding my dad's question to the reflector here. He is in the process of
changing his email address and is unable to post anything right now on the
reflector due to that.

I will add to my dad's question below that we can go to the normal log window
and enter "Version" in the callsign window and then tab to see the manager's
database update date in the QSL manager window. We understand normally this
would be the same date as the country file date but my dad was wondering on
this other method that he has used in the past specifically for the country
database.

Subject: Verifying Country Database Version in DX4win 8.05

I am trying to verify what version of the Country File I have installed in
DX4Win Ver. 8.05. The following verbiage was found on Jim's website on the page
titled "DX4WIN Country File."

To see the actual revision date of the country file, go to Files | Databases |
Countries. The entry for 1A0, Sov. Military Order of Malta should appear. Click
on the Callsigns tab, and the callsign "VERSION" should appear in the window.
The "Start date" is the date the country file was created/released.

I've done this in the past (don't know how long ago) and it has worked fine.
Now, however, after I click Files / Databases, COUNTRIES IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED so
I can go no further. What am I doing wrong, or has something been changed here?

Thanks in advance for your response.
