I just updated to a new computer running Windows 7. Downloaded DX4WIN ver. 8.05 and got everything loaded and running correctly..logbook, MTTY, PSK, Winkey, etc. I then downloaded DX4WIN Data Updater ver. 5.1, unzipped to the DX4WIN directory, copied the .RC file to the DX4WIN directory, then ran the Updater. Updater added 8 new files with no errors. When I then tried to open DX4WIN I got the following error messages: 1. Invalid at the top level of the document. Line: 5 echo"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"U. 2. When I attempt to open my logbook I get another error window.Access violation at address 0063FE4C in module 'dx4win.exe'. Read of address 00000000. Hit "OK" button, and QSO window opens. 3. Next error window pops up."A fatal error occurred reading the log file." Hit "OK" button. 4. Any attempt to do anything with the QSO window brings up the nest error window."Access violation at address 00627A28 in module 'dx4win.exe'. Read of address 00000008. 5. I then closed DX4WIN, and got this error box."Access violation at address 0046981B in module 'dx4win.exe'. Read address 00000057. I tried deleting all files and folders, and reloading into a different directory.all with the same results. Any ideas???
