It already does that, the last node you connected to is at the top of the list when you restart.
Three ENTER keystrokes starting in the Packet Window is enough to get connected. There is no auto-connect. If you use the Updater, and don't have a list of cluster nodes you always want at the top, then your node-of-choice will be reset to where it used to be. Read the documentation on the updater to see how to do this.
