I read your email regarding the speaker in your computer with some interest. I, too, like having the announcements as I spend a good deal of my time in my shack, but often doing things other than just staring at the screen of the computer. I have been totally unable to get anything which resembles a CW announcement. I'm using WIN7 Home Premium, so there are likely a few differences, but I wonder if using a speaker (with its own volume control) attached to the computer itself might get the job done. I, like many I would expect, thought that the CW announcement in DX4WIN was a thing of the past, but happily, that doesn't appear to be the case. I would appreciate any information/thoughts you (or anyone else, actually) might have about this. It's been a burr under my blanket for quite a while.
