I have never experienced this problem on Windows 7. I have the same, RAC callbook and WriteLog.
Have either of you tried un-installing DX4WIN, then re-installing it, to see if that fixes the problem? Make sure it's *NOT* installed under C:\Program Files, but somewhere else, like C:\DX4W###.
