OK, I figured out how to print the labels I needed by selecting a range of "all" bureau cards labels to print after doing a search for just the bureau labels. (Since this was my first bureau batch (over 9,000 QSO's). Yes, I could have searched the QSL date. TNX. But, my biggest problem NOW as a QSL Manager is that when I work on bureau cards here, I often see a note like "2nd" or "3rd" or even "4th" request. When I see this while processing usually slews of bureau cards, and I show that I have already sent a bureau card, I have in the past often just "hit the F2 key" thinking I was marking the QSO for "ANOTHER" bureau QSL card. I usually just "leave them marked" until I am ready to print bureau cards, and I would think that this would be a normal function to keep them in bureau order for when you send them out. Well, apparently for all these years, this has NOT been happening because it seems that when you hit the F2 key (set up for mark for printing a label, buro, mark confirmed, set QSL date for today) it just "IGNORES" the request and does NOT set the print flag to Y. No warning. So, all these years, I have NOT been creating these 2nd and 3rd etc request cards for the bureau (but I thought I was). However, I can do this same function for direct or other methods (even bureau) that I mark for sequential print and it WILL set the print flag OK. But it will not if I do not select "for sequential print". This is not useful for me since I process bureau cards all at the same time and I NEVER want to do a sequential print for bureau cards (1st request or reprints) since it would then have to be manually sorted!! I also tried other combinations of settings for the F2 key with the same result. Yes, I can do a separate process by searching the QSL date, or other searches. But I don't really see why you could not just set up the F2 key to change bureau method (or any other methods) QSL's to be able to reprint, reconfirm. Or, perhaps this is a program glitch????? I would think that in any program, if you create a "process" that allows you to ask to do something (like set the print flag), then it should do it, or else give back a warning message that says "no you cannot do that".
See ya' in the Pileups! 73 de Bob Schenck, N2OO QSL Manager HK0NA www.hk0na.com -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kostas SV1DPI Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2013 12:48 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Dx4win] QSL label reprint 73 Kostas SV1DPI You can search for the printed QSOs (for example you can write the "QSL date" and maybe a combined search as Qsl Methos=buro) and then go to QSLs>Set QSL flag and also make a "Clear QSL date" for these QSOs. Ypu can print them all again. Another way is to set the F2 to make this job: File>preferences>F2 key. There make the F2 to "Mark for printing a Label" and not "mark QSO as confirmed". Save and exit and then you manually find the qsos and press F2. I am not sure if the QSL date must be cleared to print the QSOs or not. Also have in mind that if you want to search for QSOs never printed you must write 01/01/1901 as a QSL date. For example you can search for QSOs you have received a card via buro and you have not sent a qsl. Press F8 and write Method=buro, Cnfm=y and QSL date=01/01/1901. That's it!! 73...Kostas Stamatis,SV1DPI ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
