Default address for the IC-706mkIIg is 58h.
Make sure DX4Win "baud" and Icom menu 35 CI-V Baud are the same. Default value for Menu 35 is "auto" but DX4Win generally requires a fixed value - so set menu 35 to the same value as you select for "baud" (I prefer 9600 or 19200). I have no information on the eBay cable - there are so any versions of questionable quality and no support - one would do better buying an interface from a reputable vendor not the cheapest thing on eBay. 73, ...
