Good guess, hi! The enable box was not checked but the annoying text was
there--right where I had put it. I don't believe I have used contest
mode more than once or twice and it had completely slipped my mind. But,
then, a lot of things do....
I erased the text and will expect not to see it again.

After the contest, I imported my contest log from CQWW CW into
DX4WIN and annotated the QSO's with that identification in the
Notes for this QSO field. Since then that phrase keeps popping up
in that field---long after CQWW ended in November. It comes back
