Thanks for the idea; I am actually running all logging-related apps as 
administrator. 


The problem seems to be within DX4WIN, and I assume it to be some error within 
the handling of the serial data stream buffer.  


LP Bridge sets up a 'virtual K3' and independently handles the rig polling, 
such that either polling-type (such as DX4WIN) or non-polling-type logging or 
other programs can access the same data.

So, you'd think, that would solve any problem.  DX4WIN could poll the VSP at 
whatever rate it felt like.  


There's something about the VSP that doesn't look like the 16550 to DX4WIN.  
But that is as far as I can take the troubleshooting.
