I hope Paul will revisit this when he picks up the reins again. The STATE field could truly be used like the "Administrative Subdivision" field in the ADIF spec. Then it could support DC or AB (Alberta, VE6) or UL (Ulyanovskaya, UA4L) or any other number of such things, as long as the WAS award module understand that there are only 50 states, not 51.
