Try running DX4WIN 8.05 in Administrator Mode. Right-click on the program icon and select "Administrator Mode". You may only have to do this once to get the port driver installed. I don't remember whether 6.02 really can avoid this problem (see below). > Alternatively and probably better would be to install the latest version of > DX4WIN (I think it's 8.05) on the laptop. Just copy the K1JB.dxl file from your 6.02 SAVE directory to the 8.05 SAVE directory. Then when you open that 6.02 log using 8.05, there will be a one-time conversion to the 8.05 format. When you save the log, make sure to save it in the 8.05 SAVE directory, so as not to over-write your old 6.02 format log. Just in case something goes wrong. > After I install 8.05, can I just import the QSO data files from the old save > file in version 6.02. No need to import, see paragraph above. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <[email protected]>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
