I think the DX4WIN Updater has DXcluster update that contains the "keep
alive" mode...

Thanks for a new clue, Kostas - around the same time the trouble
started I switched from an AT&T Uverse modem/router to one from
Time-Warner.? I will also check out VE7CC's client . . .

I had also problems with clusters in the past. Clusters' connection
braked after some time. I used VE7CC's client program which has a
function to keep the connection alive. Dx4win was connected on this
program and I could watch the spots. After a lot of time I? found that
it was a problem in my adsl router/modem as when I changed this, I can
connect to the clusters directly without a problem. I don' t know if
this is your problem but just in case.
By the way it would be very good for all of us to use the ve7cc
program.
If I made a logging program right now from scratch, I wouldn't include
a cluster interface but just a connection to ve7cc (beside this I
wouldn't make a rig control routine also but just a connection to
omnirig). My problem with ve7cc, is that many times I get bored to run
another program and make the connection routine also. A nice solution
would be if a future version of dx4win has an option to run ve7cc and
connect to it automatically. Maybe there is an external program do
this. Any info?

Hi all - I have a peculiar problem that has cropped up.? I can't tell
if it's due to an MS update, or from my installing the latest Norton
Security software.? All has been working fine for some time, but as
of
the last couple of weeks (roughly since I did the Norton install) I
can connect to a cluster, do a SH/DX to list the last series of
spots,
but then nothing after that and I lose connection.? Now, I've got my
spots limited to 5-land, and there are not a lot of people actively
spotting in 5-land, but somehow the connection gets lost.? I don't
see
any disconnect messages unless I try to send a spot, or do another
SH/DX in which case there is no response, and eventually I get a
message that the connection is closed.? I've looked through the
Norton
settings but probably don't know what to look for.? If anyone can
give me some hints, I'd sure appreciate it.

Hi DX4WIN users,
Would anyone be interested in an award module to track the IARU 90th
anniversary celebration?
http://iaru90 (dot) hamlogs (dot) net
It should not be hard to create.
I just looked through my log today and found I had nine of the ten
required country callsigns, so I'm on the prowl for at least one more.

It does, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the VE7CC user program.

Hi Jim, I am trying to get a report heading to print on some labels.
I go to preferences-rep/labels and type in a message in the "report
heading" box. But it never appears on the label. What is secret?
The manual just says:
Report Heading
Allows the user to add a custom header to all reports.
Thanks,
