Not true! By default, when installing DX4WIN, the calendar pop-up at
startup is ON. However, all of the events in the calendar are years
old. Because there are no active events, the calendar does not need
to open on startup.

When I released the new Updater (8.0x), the default configuration was
to load (update) the calendar from the 425 DX News site. Because
those events are current events, DX4WIN opened the calendar at
startup.

The latest Updater has many configuration options for Calendar, Master
Calls and Membership Lists. If you don't want something updated,
please read the instructions and you should be able to figure out how
to disable those updates:

I'm not picking on Cort, but I spend a lot of time documenting the
work I do for DX4WIN. It's disappointing to see the same questions
come up again and again, when they could have been easily answered by
reading the documentation, including the DX4WIN documentation. If
there are areas missing in MY documentation, please let me know and
I'll be happy to add them.
