It's just an unfortunate (and confusing) coincidence. The numbers have nothing to do with each other, as Art pointed out. The top of the web page says: "The Updater Program can be used to help maintain the data files associated with DX4WIN 4.07 and later." I'll see if I can make it more clear that the versions are unrelated. I have one small (low priority) change "in the queue" that hasn't been released yet.
