As a follow-up to this, today I experienced the same problem. The eQSL.cc site was returning an error code of 500 when trying to download the list of Authenticity Guaranteed users. So I disabled my Internet interface (pulled out the cable) and tried the Updater again. I got the same error code of 500! Thus, when a website returns an error code of 500, there is no way for the Updater to distinguish whether the Internet connection or the web site itself is the source of the problem. It may be possible for me to add extra code to indicate whether any previous files were downloaded successfully, and if so, make the 500 error non-fatal, i.e. your Internet connection is probably fine. But what should it do if your network connection drops out in the middle of a DX4WIN update? You'll get the "non-fatal" 500 error for each subsequent download. I'll think about this, but will have to do it in a way that doesn't break anything. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <[email protected]>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
