Under Help there is an option called "Check for Updates". Go there and do it. Probably you will be prompted to download some things. DO NOT download "layouts" as this will change your logbook window again and if you use a different layout window like me, you need to remember it every time you make an update. Please report if this update found the missed mstrcals.dat

There were some problems with the different scale factors. It is better to work dx4win with scale factor 100. In the same window you can change also "visual appearance" which works now.

If dx4win crash, puss the continue. Probably it is an unexpected behaviour (for example because it has missed the mstcalls.dat) and continues to play.

Here's a quick upgrade cheat sheet for 9.01.

Here's my initial feedback. Using Win10, fyi.

Unfortunately, it didn't go as easy for me as with previous version jumps. First of all, I installed the program in the c:\hamradio\dx4win901. The program definitely did not like that at all, despite having had all the previous versions in the same hamradio folder. Would not save the window positions, crashed upon exiting, etc. Also kept coming up with "Master file: c:\hamradio\dx4w901\SAVE\mstrcals.dat not found, no calls loaded".

Uninstalled from the folder, restarted Windows, installed in c:\dx4w901. Now was able to save window positions, except it still wants to load mstrcals.dat and can't find it, and it also sporadically crashes upon exiting the program. Also had to reformat Report:logbook window columns, but that's a minor annoyance. Furthemore, I am using screen fonts\scale as follows: Arial 9, Fixed Size 9, Fixed Size 9, scale factor 80, no skin selected. All windows seem fine except:

- sunrise and sunset times are cut off in the SunRise/Set window
- CW keyboard buttons and fonts are smaller than all the other window fonts

Now, what the hell is mstrcals.dat, where can I find it (not on AD1C site, apparently) and how come no one else reported this same thing?

Also, I still have the program crashing problem. Sometimes it crashes with options to abort/continue/restart, sometimes it just hangs with "not responding" forever and it has to be killed.

Any ideas?
