Hi John,

Thanx for the reply. The reason for me keeping my own version of the
country file is a somewhat complicated issue. It all started when I lost
all
my data in a house fire a dozen or so years ago. Since the last submission
I made to DXCC was in 1992, I lost the certificates, cards, computer data,
and everything after 1992. I had to start all over again. I had to
somehow
get those confirmed countries into DX4WIN. Not sure what ARRL does now,
but back then they didn't archive all QSO data, including the call sign. As
for bands and modes they only kept track of the 1st QSO for that country and
it's band and mode
info. It's virtually impossible to back track, if you will. I created
dummy QSO's
for those confirmed countries, using a dummy call sign including band and
mode data. This all may start to sound confusing, but it seems to work :()
) So, I press on with Version 8 for now. Again, thanx for your interest in
this somewhat arcane problem.
