Yes. You need to create a com0com virtual serial port pair - in my case it is 
com4 and com5.

I enabled CAT in the client software  and selected com4.

In DX4WIN I selected the Kenwood TS480 on port com5.

Make sure to use the signed version of the com-com driver.
