I recently requested help as when I tried to save a changed file log in DX4WIN; it would error out and not record the changes. I was using a thumb drive as my second and concurrent storage device.
When I save, I record to the hard drive under SAVE in the DX4 directory and to a thumb drive listed in Preferences, QSO, secondary backup directory. In experimenting to fix the problem, I had changed the thumb drive to another one and I still had the bad results. Just before I was going to change the configuration file per Jim AD0C, I tried a third thumb drive and it worked. I am able to be NORMAL now. Hooray! I do remember months or years ago, if you had a thumb drive listed in preferences, but was not plugged in, the program went bananas.
