Something as simple asw unchecking the box and typing in the new baud rate did 
it.  Everything is working FB.  73, Bob K3UL

Hi Bob,

You do not say which version of DX4WIN you are running.

To change the baud rate, Go into Preferences, on the Radio tab.  You have to 
uncheck the box under the Baud Rate field that says "Default".
Then you can type in any baud rate you want.

I believe most/all Kenwood radios have the same set of radio commands, so 
picking the TS-990 setting will probably work OK.
