> The DX4WIN country file, DX4WIN.CTY Release #19.8 is now available from: > > http://www.country-files.com/dx4win-info/
For IOTA chasers using DX4WIN 9.0x, this release has a fairly significant change. Older version had mistakenly included "excluded" islands in some of the IOTA groups. For example, Camano Island, WA does not count for IOTA NA-065, although the drop-down menu in the "IOTA Island' field included it. That is now fixed. However, this means that you may have mistakenly set the IOTA field for these QSOs. Those IOTA fields need to be cleared, but there is not an easy way to tell which QSOs this applies. It's too time-consuming to search for each island individually. I am trying to come up with a method for users to identify which QSOs may have invalid IOTA fields. Unfortunately, my first (obvious) try does not work. I can help you in the short term. Before updating the country file, use an F8 search, and put the '*' character in the IOTA field. Now bring up the Logbook window, and make sure it has these columns: - Callsign - Date - Time - IOTA - IOTA Island Right-click on the Logbook window and choose "Write to File". Give it a name like old_iota.csv After updating the country file, do the same steps above, except when saving the Logbook window, give it a different name, like iota_new.csv. Send me the two iota_*.csv files. I'll tell you which QSOs you may need to change. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <[email protected]>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
