I think I squashed the F8 search bug thanks to Rick, K0XB. When creating a membership list, I did not filter an empty line which created an entry for an empty callsign. When starting a filter, the callsign field is cleared but the membership field was initialized using the empty callsign (the @ in both cases)
The search failed unless you searched for a callsign in that @ list! So the quick solution is to recreate your list but watch out for empty lines. My new code guards against this happening in the future.
