Hi All,

Looking for someone with a Icom IC-705 that is willing to test out a new
Rigdriver Via USB connected

And following my procedure how to setup.

Since I don't have one I can't test.

Created yesterday IC9700 - USB (that also will be ok for IC9100) when you
are not in SATMODE

This due bullshit cmd from Icom (again) for this reason I have the standard
IC9700 driver that is used in

Radio via CI-V connection.

Created today IC7610 - USB and has been tested by Jim AD1C at 3AM (guess he
never sleep) and Radi F6GNZ both with succes

Your computer

Following needs to be checked before you start in Device manager

ICOM creates 2 Siliconlabs CP210x comports and they should be left at 115200
baud

BUT you need to be sure that you select the standard comportport,

This can be checked in the Properties | Details| there go to Property and
select Location paths

On top line the last number after USB should be (1)

ICOM IC705 Menu

In Radio | menu | connectors | CIV |

USB/LAN REMOTE Tranceive Address make this also A4h (=equal like CI-V
address)

CI-V USB port should be Unlinked from Remote

CI-V USB Baud Rate = 57600

CI-V USB Echo Back = ON

In DX4WIN | Prefences | Radio

Select now IC 705 - USB

Address should become 4A and Baud Rate 57600

Comport is the standard CP210x (see above)

Poll Rate is set here 1000 ms and Max tries 2

DTR and RTS are not ON

Save changes and exit

115200 is not possible in DX4WIN, But everything above 38400 is waste of
traffic

if you don't need the waterfall on screen since DX4WIN doesn't have that it
doesn't matter
