I don't know if anyone would like this idea or not.


I wrote a DOS batch file that executes whenever I boot up my computer.  It
copies my current log file to a thumb drive plugged into the back of my
computer.  That way I don't lose anything up to that point.  If later I make
contacts and want to save them as well, I have a shortcut on my desktop to
activate the batch file and it will save the log file at that point whenever
I click on it.  



Any time I open Dx4Win, it always opens the file in my save folder not the
one on the thumb drive.  The only time I have to be careful is if I open the
file on the thumb drive to look at it, I have to go to the save folder and
open my log from there to make sure it doesn't open the one on the thumb
drive.



Just a suggestion.  It has worked for me for several years with no problems.
