Hi all!

And thanks for the suggestions.
The problem, Dave, is not really to eliminate the error message, but to make
things simpler and more automatic. Because these manual actions come to be
as if when the error appears, click OK, and if you later want to turn the
radio back on, press the "Start Radio" button.
And as far as I know about programming, being able to make it so that if an
error appears (either due to time out or simply due to an error when opening
the COM port) it is captured in a process and a task tries to reconnect it
every X seconds, it shouldn't be that complicated. .

Something similar that could also be done to telnet (connection to the
cluster), an automatic reconnection option.

Pablo,

Another way would be to click on Radio and then Stop Radio. You can then
turn off the radio and DX4WIN will not give the error messages. When you
later turn the radio back on, be sure to click on Radio, Start Radio, and
you will be all set.

Hello Pablo,

The easiest way is to not leave the program in Add Real Time (F9) mode.
Simply hit <Page Down> after entering a QSO or string of QSOs. Yes,
auto-reconnect would be nice, but it would probably require major
programming.

Is it possible to configure DX4WIN so that if the radio is turned off, it
does not display the uncomfortable error message?

Radio time out

Radio interface has been disabled

And that as a background task it automatically reconnects when the CAT port
is responding again without having to press the button:

Start Radio

I don't know if it only happens to me, but it's very annoying and I think
there would be an easy solution in Code in case it couldn't be configured.

Any idea?
