The DX4WIN configuration is stored in binary mode (config.dat). Configuration files are exported and imported as TEXT files. With the Preferences window open: File | Write configuration file will write a text-based configuration file. File | Load configuration file will load that text-based configuration file into DX4WIN. When DX4WIN starts, it gets the configuration from the config.dat file. When DX4WIN exits, it saves the current configuration in the config.dat file. DX4WIN users should occasionally write their configuration to a text file. That way, if the binary config.dat file gets corrupted, it's relatively easy to restore your last known good configuration. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, https://ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
