There is no reason to delete old logs. I have a bunch and the program doesn’t “know” that there is anything other than the one you are working on.
Normally, when you start DX4WIN it will open whatever log you were using last. That should be the log where you added your QSOs. In other words, you should not have to specifically open a log each time you start the program. Is that not the case? The only other thing that I can think of is that if you don’t have a license installed, you won’t be able to save the files, though you can enter whatever you want. (At least I think that’s how it works; it’s been a long time since I didn’t have a license). Are any of the other QSOs you made in the log? Can you try to enter a small number of QSOs (you can make them up and delete them later), exit, and see if those are still there? Also, make sure you are opening your log file from the correct directory. The usual place is going to be something like C:\dx4w901\save, assuming you’ve installed in c:\dx4w901.
