Yllttv vastaus heti seuraavana pivn miss aseman insinri on kaivanut esiin aikalailla komentteja lis. Stiedotus ennen tasaa olikin yhtkki WFIF:n mys, mik vhn epilin mutta en uskaltanut vitt WFIF:ksi koska pelksin ett se oli WTOP. Kannattaa mys huomoida WFIF erittin mynteinen suhtautuminen meihin DX-kuuntelijoihin, sek miten asema mieluiten haluaa saada raportit, ja ilman muuta ollaan kuulolla sitten tammikuussa kun WFIF lhett testit...

Thank you for the WAV file! Yes, that was DEFINATELY us! The female weather reporter was ours! You can hear her say "This is Ellen Wiessberg with the WFIF Weather update!" just before the station ID. I recognized our station theme music between the station ID and the Songtime theme. (I INSTANTLY recognized the theme music of the program, "Songtime USA" which followed the station ID.) Yes, we were carrying Songtime at 6pm, Eastern, on October 20'th. (No newscast.) So, consider your reception report 100% confirmed. :)
The Songtime theme sounds a little bit like a newscast theme, electronic synthesizer. Because I am so familiar with our programming, I can assure you that our signal was stronger than you think. :) It "jumped out" at me quite distinctly as I listened. Now that you know what the WX lady says, you will probably hear her voice "jump out" at you, next time you listen to it. :)
If you are involved in DX clubs there, please pass the word along that I *much* prefer E-mail reception reports over regular mail. (Post on DX bulentins, etc.) This will save your club members some money. :) We can accept audio in WAV or MP3 formats with no problem. As long as the file is less than 2 megs, we have no problem downloading it. I enjoy DX reports, but like I said, really prefer them in E-mail format. Audio clips very definately help with the confirmation, as yours did. :)
Although I am a Ham Operator, I generally do not actually do any DXing... I know what it is and how it works, and I admire those of you who do this as a hobby. It takes a lot of work to string those long antennas in such cold conditions! I could never do that!
If it works out, there is a possibility that I may transmit a DX TEST from WFIF in January.
Have a very Merry CHRISTmas!
