***SOLAR CYCLE 24 Read in the November issue of Sky & Telescope magazine that solar cycle 24 has just started. Seems the Synoptic Optical Long-term Investigations of the Sun (SOLIS) facility found that magnetic eruptions near the Suns poles have reversed polarity indicating the start of the next cycle.
