Onnittelut Jim hienosta sieppauksesta!

Torstai ei kai MLT:ltä mene kakistelematta läpi :-)

Mutta tuosta tuli mieleeni, miten MLT:n kannanotot uusiin
maihin ovat. Esim.
harkintakierros?
Rakentavin terveisin, JSA

Tervehdys,

ABC Far North Queensland (via Thursday Island, 1062 kHz) ilahdutti oheisella
vastauksella.

Mukana oli kolmeminuuttinen klippi joulupäivän valtakunnallisesta
ABC-ohjelmasta, jossa Richard Dinnen kertoi raportista, Lemmenjoesta ja
joulupukista. Kertakaikkiaan mahtava vastaus!

73 & 88
Jim

PS1. Jos haluat kuulla koko klipin, laita meiliä jim at solatie.com. Koko on
noin 1,4 megaa.

PS2. Eikö MLT voisi myöntää oman maapisteen Torstaisaarista ;)

Hello Jim

Thank you for your letter and reception report of 10 December. That is an
amazing report. The transmitter you received belongs to our ABC Far North
network, and is on Thursday Island, in the Torres Strait. You can see a map
and transmitter details at
http://www2b.abc.net.au/reception/frequencyfinder/asp/details.asp?transmissionid=4707

It's not a very high-powered transmitter, so your reception is quite an
achievement. 1062 is one of about 20 transmitters around north Queensland
that broadcast our programs. Our studio is in Cairns, and we broadcast local
breakfast, morning and afternoon programs. At other times of the day, our
programs come from elsewhere in Australia, usually from Sydney or Brisbane.
The program you heard, Nightlife, originates in Sydney.

You can see details about our station, programs and presenters at
<www.abc.net.au/farnorth>

Thank you for your letter, the CD and the lovely photos. You will find
photos of our area on our website. It's very different to Finland. Currently
34 degrees in the late afternoon, humidity 85 %, the tropical wet season is
underway and we have a cyclone forming away to the north-west. So I am at
work doing emergency weather reports for the next few hours.

I read some of your letter out on our Christmas Day program, which was heard
all over Australia. I've attached the segment as an MP3.

Best wishes for the new year, and thank you for writing to us.

Richard Dinnen
