Kysypä samalla, että joko se on saanut toimiluvan.

Subject: [DX] Fw: Radio Merkurs exact transmitter location
Moi!
Tässä tietoa Radio Merkursin sijainnista, taitaa olla sama torni, jossa me
DX-kuuntelijat vierailimme muutama vuosi sitten.
About Merkurs... As you may be know, government planned to close
transmitting stn. in Ulbroka near Riga for any operations. So, the tr. of
R.Merkurs is former R.Nord tr., what now situated in the L.Nometņu str. 62
in Pārdaugava district (left side of Daugava river in Riga)on former TV
center. Antenna installed on the old TV tower same location. They are
broadcast with lowed power due the problems of ecology (TV tower situated
inside the heavily urban area and they can't put more power for DXers).
Second is problem with transmitter. It made for 945 kHz on quartzes and
can't be rebuild for 1485 Khz without the losting of power and signal
quality.
Some programs from the former Radio Nord came now on R.Merkurs.
Especially nice "Evergreen" on Saturdays on 12.00 midday (Riga & Helsinki
time) by Boris Moher with jazz goldies. Recomend you, if you like light
jazz classics.
