I use the W5XD keyer here ( at least until my radio got zapped with lightning ). I connected the W5XD key out to the radio key in jack and worked fine. I never tried connecting from the board to the radio for controlling the HF radio. DXbase only implemented the keying functionality of the board. I used a separate serial port for the connection to the keyer and another serial port for the HF radio interface.
