Hi Folks, Last month, we alerted everyone of our intention to implement the Access 2000 database format and Jet DAO v4.x in future versions of DXbase. At that time, we had not completed the work, but that was our goal. After spending the past month at this effort, it's become clear to us that there are too many quirky issues with using the DAO v4.x interface. Our discussions with other software developers confirms that its just not as reliable as it needs to be for our purposes. Those of you who frequent the Microsoft Knowledge Base no doubt know what we're talking about. So, this past weekend, we decided to switch gears and retain the Jet 3.5 interface and the Access 97 format for the present time. I guess the morale of the story is that if it ain't broke, don't fix it... <G>
