KE4TV sent me an excellent note on this that I have saved an I refer to it
every time I re-load Windows and DXBase. I included it below.

Here is what I did. You may have done this but non-the-less:
I first took the new QRZ CD and installed it as though I were going to run
it on the hard disk. The CD installed it in as follows:
The shortcut and associated files are located in C:\Program Files\QRZ Ham
Radio\Qrzcd
I also have c:\callbk\callbkc.dat . In this directory the callbkc.dat
resides and I also have in index files in it.
In DXBase
Under Tools
Options
USER Options
Directory Tab
CDRom Drive CDRom Data Path CDRom Type
C \ QRZ!
I think where you may be having the throuble is your putting the CD ROM to a
folder called QRZ. Looks like you have DXBase set up correctly. It is
looking for a specific path. You can't just call the folder what you want.
If you call up QRZ from the shortcut on your desktop and look under
Help
Data Info
it will show you your path to the data file. Mine shows
c:\callbk\callbkc.dat .

Subject: [DXBase] Question about QRZ CD
I just got the latest QRZ cd and since I have a lot of hard disk space I
copied the whole thing to the hard drive. By doing this I was hoping to not
have to insert the disk each time I fire up dxbase.
I used the directory feature to specify the drive letter of the hard drive
instead of the CD but it doesn't work. It works fine when the CD is
inserted.
Has anyone tried this before?
Thanks
