Fellow DxBase Users

I have successfully installed DxBase 2002 on a new computer an
AMD Athlon 1600XP with 512 meg of memory. It really runs great
compared to how it ran on my Pentium II 350MHz, but I have noticed
one problem. On the new computer my operating system is Windows ME
and on the Pentium I am running Windows 98 SE.

To encounter this problem you must have a band country total that
exceeds 2000. I don't consider myself a big gun, just little pistol
that has been chasing DX for almost half a century. I have received
the ARRL "Challenge" plaque and chase band countries. My current
band country total is nearly 2200 if I include 30 meters.

Here is the anomaly using the new computer, it runs without error on
the Pentium II. If I want to see my current band country total I click on
Output\Awards\DXCC and place a check in all bands 160 - 6
meters. I then click on "Compute". As soon as the total reaches
2000 DxBase stops incrementing the "Number Entries" total and also
stops incrementing the individual bands. This only happens on the new
computer.

I can work around the problem simply by only running bands who's total
doesn't exceed 2000 and them running it again on the remaining bands
and adding the two. I do think there is a problem and do hope for
resolution.
