I do not know about all databases but I can do the following operation to create an ADIF file from a data base file using MS Excel or Borland/Corel's Paradox database programs with either Wordpad or MS Word as the text editor. Notepad might do it but it has a definite limitation on the size of file it can handle.
With your log file open in the database program copy the database file in the standard mouse drag to highlight to copy to clip board then go to Wordpad or MS Word and do a paste special and select unformatted text. Then do a "save as" and name the file with an .ADI extension i.e. ve3honov02.adi rather than as a .txt or .doc extension. At this point you might need to go in and remove or add spaces to get the data in shape for the import. 73 VE3HO At 06:21 PM 02/23/2002 +0000, you wrote: >I have my QSO's from an old logbook database created in Dataease converted >into an excel format. Does anybody know of a utility to get me from either an .xls or >.dif file into a position to do the import. Thanks to the DXBase Fraternity.
