Jack, Alaska actually has boroughs or also called judicial districts.
Fairbanks is the Fairbanks North Star Borough OR the 4th Judicial District.
Anchorage is in the Matanuska Borough, not sure of the district. That is
how Alaska is divided and why you may see zones.

Hope that helps some.

Subject: [DXBase] Alaskan County ???

Do we have any county hunters who can shed some light on the Alaskan
counties ( or lack thereof )? According to the county hunter web, there are
no counties, only four zones. But the various address CDs seem to think
there are counties and they have them for many stations. The CDs don't all
agree on the spelling of the counties.

So, what's the real story???

Thanks,
Jack
