Ray,
I have seen a lot of talk about Laptops that don't have any serial ports.
If this is the case with the one you purchase, then you will need a
USB to Serial HUB to give you some serial ports.
I don't use a Laptop here but needed more serial ports so I purchased
a Comtrol RocketPort USB to Serial HUB that gives me 4 extra serial
ports from 1 USB port.
