This post may be a bit off subject but has two purposes:

1--Some of you stateside hams who use DXBase to get internet
spots might prefer the K2LS cluster (24.184.186.237) because
it carries only those originating in the U.S. and vastly
reduces all of the annoying worldwide chatter not related to
spots. There may be other internet clusters that do this,
too.

2--More personally, I have lost my ability to connect with
this cluster. DXBase simply tells me "not available" when I
try. If I try directly from the DX Packet Cluster WebNet
directory and with DXBase not running, I am told: "Sorry,
W1MAG, you are already connected to me on another port."

My e-mail messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] are bouncing. I
think he has made posts to this reflector so he may see
this. Or others may be able to help. Am I somehow locked in
a connected state on his end? Or must the problem be
somewhere in my software, perhaps in a DXBase setting even
when it is not running? Don't see how that could be.

I miss this connection.

Ed, W1MAG
