Started over with a clean Hosts file supplied with DXB2003.
Using the Modify Host File feature I have to remove the # character that is
in front of each nodes Callsign.

For instance:
131.156.2.132 # W9NIU

Is the way I see it in the Modify Host File Window.
I can not connect this way.
I must remove the # character.

But some/many of the clusters work with no trouble leaving the # character
and a space before the callsign.
No modification of the Hosts file entries are needed at all.

And if I enter:
131.156.2.135:41112 # W9NIU
using the Modify Host File feature, I can not connect with the # character
or without.

I'm not blocking the port through a firewall or router as I can put that IP
and port into DXTelnet and connect instantly.

In two weeks NIU will discontinue the old node/IP and only maintain the new
one.
I'd like to be able to use this node as many of my local friends are on it
and we can talk among ourselves.

I've spent the better part of today trying to figure this out.
Does anybody have a clue?
