I am using DXbase 2003 with a serial port connection to an Icom IC-756PROII with the "Load Band/Mode from HF Transceiver" option selected. I prefer using the CW-R mode--vs standard CW mode--on bands like 6m so I can toggle between USB and CW-R without the CW tone changing. CW-R mode is also frequently useful in dodging QRM on any band.
Oddly, DXbase logs all my 6m CW-R QSOs as DUPLOHELL mode (whatever that is!). If I switch to CW (not -R) mode on the transceiver, DXbase properly enters CW in the mode field.
