The answer to your #1 quesiton is:

Your PRINTER controls the printer margins - and you have no control
over it.. the list program module knows what your printer tells it.
And, therefore - what you see is what you are going to get.

I also wish it were different - but regretfully not!  Just make sure that
your list "is within the cross-hatched" area that you see..

On your #2 - No real way to do this automatically - you could use
LAYERS - but not really that conveniently.. Normally - when you make a
LIST file, you will have "one certain setup" for your fields' fonts..

Can you detail more about your #2 to give us a better idea of "when"
you are changing font sizes?
