A station I manage sent me his general log in an .adi format produced by Logger. When I try to import it into DXB2003 I get an error for each entry saying: The field is too small for the amount of data trying to enter.
I've gone over the .adi file and can not find any field that the size specified is smaller than the data in the field. I then compared it to the .adi file sent to me that was imported correctly. and while the order of fields are different, the syntax and size specified seems to be correct. Basically I can't find any field that is not properly specified. For instance, the call sign field seems to properly indicate the amount of characters in the callsign etc. Here are two sample entries in the problem file. Maybe someone can see an obvious problem that would cause that error in the non-DXB import. <CALL:5>ZB2FX <QSO_DATE:8:D>20020501 <TIME_ON:6>070037 <MODE:2>CW <BAND:3>10M <RST_SENT:3>599 <RST_RCVD:3>599 <CQZ:2>14 <NAME:11>QSL v G3RFX <FREQ:8>28,02200 <QSL_SENT:1>N <QSL_RCVD:1>N <DXCC:3>233 <EOR> <CALL:6>JD1YBO <QSO_DATE:8:D>20020501 <TIME_ON:6>142332 <MODE:2>CW <BAND:3>17M <RST_SENT:3>599 <RST_RCVD:3>599 <CQZ:2>27 <FREQ:8>18,08300 <QSL_SENT:1>N <QSL_RCVD:1>N <DXCC:3>192 <EOR> ----------------------------------------------------- There is no difference between a wise man and a fool when they fall in love. ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.billnjudy.com http://files.billnjudy.com
