Occasionally, in my log I have an entry that has all the necessary QSO
information, such as Mode, RST, Band, etc. but no Frequency entry, as these
entrees were from old contest files that didn't have this data. Since my
QSL label file prints out the frequency on the label, I will attempt to
enter the band edge frequency, e.g. 50000.00 for 6M, for those entrees that
are missing the frequency data. When I do that, the Mode changes to CW and
the RST changes to 599, no matter what the values were before. How can I
avoid having DxBase change information that is already entered? In
TOOLS->USER OPTIONS->LOG DEFAULTS, I have "Over ride mode with Band Plan"
unchecked. I have also removed the band plan entries for 6M in the
TOOLS->OPTIONS->BAND PLAN MAPPING database. What else do I need to do? Or
is this a feature? Understand that I am also using DxBase2002, as I
haven't upgraded yet.
