I sincerely appreciate the suggestions from the knowledgeable DXBase users and I finally got the ICOM 756PROII, PW-1, and DXBase to all work together. I must say it is a neat operating combination.
Several requested that I post the settings that worked once it was operational and here they are: 1. Use the CT-17 converter: Connect the serial port from computer and remote line from PW-1 to the CT-17 box 2. Baud set to auto on the PROII 3. Address in PROII set to 64h 4. IN DXBase the following settings were used: Model: ICOM 756PROII VFO A Only COM: 2 Baudrate: 4800 Parity: None Word Length: 8 Stop Bits: 2 Default DTR High is checked ON If anyone has and suggested improvements I would appreciate hearing from you.
