Given the then-imminent demise of the Radio Amateur's Callbook, I bought a Buckmaster HamCall a few months ago. It comes with a six-month online update capability which downloads a supplemental data file (e.g., 200212.DAT) and an index file (e.g., 200212.IDX). The download also seems to install an updated configuration file, hamcall.cfg. All of these go into the HamCall folder instead of the Ham0 folder where the database and original index from the CDROM are copied; it's this Ham) path that is specified in DXbase.
I just checked and found that DXbase isn't accessing the monthly update files; it only pulls from the original installation files from the CDROM. I tried copying the monthly .idx files from the HamCall folder into the Ham0 folder but that doesn't work. Does anyone have HamCall working properly with the monthly updates? Jim N7US
