DXBase help file says that QSO's prior to 1975 are not eligible for band/mode awards.
But here is what the ARRL web page says: a) Mixed (general type): Contacts may be made using any mode since November 15, 1945. b) Phone: Contacts must be made using radiotelephone since November 15, 1945. Confirmations for cross-mode contacts for this award must be dated September 30, 1981, or earlier. c) CW: Contacts must be made using CW since January 1, 1975. Confirmations for cross-mode contacts for this award must be dated September 30, 1981, or earlier. d) RTTY: Contacts must be made using radioteletype since November 15, 1945. (Baudot, ASCII, AMTOR and packet count as RTTY.) Confirmations for cross-mode contacts for this award must be dated September 30, 1981, or earlier Seems to me that Phone and RTTY contacts prior to Jan 1, 1975 are eligible for band mode. For example I have a RTTY Q with SM6CSC on 13/Sept/1965 and I am expecting this to be accepted toward my RTTY DXCC totals. So I would think that the valid box should be checked as follows for Q's prior to Jan 1, 1975: CW - mixed Phone - mixed and mode RTTY - mixed and mode. Do I misunderstand this? Ron N5IN
