Thanks to all who responded to my plea. The final resolution to my problem of not being able to use the LPT port for CW through DXBase 2003 was to uninstall DX4WIN and DXBase 2003, then install DXBase 2003 first. For some reason known only to computer gods and geeks, apparently DX4WIN "captured" the LPT port and wouldn't let DXBase 2003 use it. I'm a happy guy now....
